Media Article for June 2024
Well, its officially here, Hurricane Season is upon us. What have you done to prepare yourself and your home for the potential strike of these devastating storms. If you look further into this month’s Media Magazine, you will find information on what to stock up on, when to evacuate and what to do to protect your home as best that is possible. Remember, living in a mobile home community, we are under mandatory evacuation once a hurricane is headed our way. Don’t be foolish and think, it won’t hit here or even the belief that we live on Indian Burial Grounds and are safe. It only takes one and your done!
The TV’s in the clubhouse are now fully functional and we have a Resident who has developed our own HOA Website. Included in this issue are the instructions on how to get onto the website and also a checklist of permissions that you must agree to so we can contact you with important information about our community. We ask that you check the different ways you would like to be notified such as email, text, phone call etc. You may check one or all methods and future community information will be forwarded to you. I want to take this opportunity to thank John Long for his many hours of programming to make this website a reality. He is also responsible for finally getting the TV’s in the clubhouse working. Next issue is the community channel 732 on Spectrum. We are working on that also. John has informed me that he is willing to have some workshops were you can attend and learn how to access the Website and what information is there. More information to come.
You should have by now got the updated Prospectus mailed to you. For the most part, the elimination of Co-Op from the document is the largest portion of the updates but we are also looking at the assessment wording to determine if this could be a future issue. Be assured that we are working on making your home safe, accessible and affordable.
A heads-up, the Clubhouse kitchen is closed down for the summer but will open for the 4th of July and Labor Day with a Publix Chicken dinner for the 4th and yet to be determined menu for Labor Day.
